Does anyone know if the box set is going to be released in the US. Plus mute has a 12" plus download bundle with an exclusive mix of Nobody's Diary that will not be available in the US because of licensing. Hope that iTunes grabs this up. I still don't understand having a limited edition vinyl and download when most fans are shelling out good money for the box set that has very little added to it. Why not just put out a limited cd single. I understand the download argument because of cost, but vinyl (useless to most). And record companies still complain about illigal downloads that they set themselves up for. Make it available only in certain countries or on a dead format and what choices are left!

The box set will be released in the US also. The mix that is unavailable for US purchase is a remastered version of the original. Warner controls that for Canada and the United States so Mute Bank cannot sell it to North American customers due to licensing restrictions.

Actually I was speaking of Nobody's Diary (Soil In The Synth Remix), which according to Mute will only be available if you buy the 12" of Nobody's Diary along with the downloads from the UK. It seems that that version is not on the vinly or download separately, and not downloadable in the US.

Still no word on whether or not these are SACDs?

It is my understanding that you can buy the 12" and digital bundle from Mute Bank as a special promotion, where they give you that Soil In The Synth mix as a bonus. You can also buy that one mix on it's own for £0.99
As that is a Mute Bank exclusive, it will not be available on any other digitial stores. The only territory exclusion should be on the original remaster.
This is from the Yazoo forum:
Unfortunately, if you live in the USA you cannot get the original remastered version. I tried to order the bundle and received this message upon checkout:
IMPORTANT INFORMATION : Unfortunately due to territory restrictions, the product Nobody’s Diary (Original Remaster) was removed from your basket.

I ordered the individual trax I wanted & was able to get the "exclusive" mix.
Nobody's Diary (Andy Bell / JC Remix)
Nobody's Diary (Koishii and Hush Remix)
Nobody's Diary (GRN's 12" Remix)
Nobody's Diary (Soil In The Synth Remix)
I don't care about the remastered vers, it'll be on the CD.
I wish they would have done a CD Single too[:(]

Pity they didn't include the BBC radio sessions or live tracks that appeared on Mute's Audio Documents 10 CD box set.

Because digital is usually a lossy, lousy format? Or were they lossless?

Well, they were on an expensive 10 CD box set... if you don't like the other 90-odd tracks, it's not something you'd really want to shell out for... Given there's plenty of room on these discs to add a few more tracks, I thought it would be nice to compile EVERYTHING by Yazoo in one place.

miss them as well, so hopefully one day a Yazoo at the Beeb CD will be released including the concert recorded by the BBC + the sessions.
nevertheless, the dvd-tracklisting is nice, would have been even better if they included those The Tube appearances as well, still thumbs up for digging out the TOTP appearances..
