Warners in Japan have just issued the Devo albums from Q: Are We Not Men?...to Shout in the mini lp cd replica format, some stores are saying they are new 2008 remasters.

No bonus tracks sadly (except Devo Live which follows the Rhino Handmade edition) but the box set especially looks lovely. I'll report back more when I actually have my copy.

the inside sleeves are all replicas of the originals, so there are order forms for devo merch, nutra has a "coalmine" 45 and a mini poster, freedom of choice has a poster, etc.
now: does "duty now" have the perforated cover? or does "oh no" have the flip out stand on the back? if so, i'm really wanting them, just for coolness.

i really hope "q:a" is remastered, and "foc" is the one that really needs it! the wb cd release is gawd awful, it sounds like fuzzy crap.

EDIT:
ah! a picture is posted! thanks.
i'm really interested in the cube with the japanese picture sleeve singles... what is it? how does it fit into the box? and i LOVE that the wb radio show red sleeve comes with the devo live... the original rhinohandmade release of this came in a clear plastic sleeve, just like the album did. i bet this is a repressing of that cd, but with a bonus sleeve.

I just got mine, and man, is it beautiful. "Duty Now" does have a perforated cover, and "Oh No!" does have the stand-up cutout on the back. I haven't had a chance to listen to them yet, but they are marked as being 2008 remasters.

I paid $160 including shipping from HMV.co.jp

Yes, they are all remastered.

New Traditionalists comes with a miniature paper reproduction of the original 45 that came with the album for "Working In The Coal Mine," too!

on the advice of surly, i bought the box from hmv japan. came out to a total of $175 USD for me as it was $165 + $10 for a ripoff import fee from my credit card. nonetheless, it was still about $50 less than other sites, hmv had it to my house within 4 days and the box as others have described is fantastic! money well spent in my book!
