On Echo's official site, they mention a 2 CD reissue of 'Ocean Rain' due on 29 September and Amazon US also has a new 2008 reissue of 2006's 'More Songs To Learn And Song' compilation. Neither site lists full track listings. Amazon UK, CD Universe and Ideal Copy don't list these new versions of either release. Anybody know?

Excellent news! I hope they add some nice extended mixes/remixes for the second disc. An extended "The Cutter" or "Lips Like Sugar" would be well received I think. I'm sure these may have been issued before, but I doubt on 1 comp/cd?

Would be nice if they remastered the audio on the DVD. Not that I would buy it again, but maybe someone will torrent it . One of the videos being in MONO is just fucking sad.

The Ocean Rain 2CD reissue looks to be kind of rushed so it can coincide with the "Ocean Rain" concerts this fall. We have little info right now but will try to get the title added idealcopy.com asap. Import only at the moment.

The information we have right now on the Songs to Learn and Sing reissue is the original 1985 release - so obviously no DVD is included with that. And it's just a re-pricing with a new catalogue number and probably the only difference will be an O-Card that tells customer that it's a "Best Of"

Strange to re-issue that one. My copy of that has problems, as well. The DC offset is off or something, because you can hear hiss (like radio static) in between tracks.

I saw that Rhino is reissuing the original 1985 comp, but the one I was actually referring to was an apparently new 2008 reissue of the 2006 comp 'More Songs To Learn And Sing'. The description on Amazon doesn't give a complete track listing but states that it has both more audio tracks on the CD and more videos on the DVD.

do you have a link so we can see exactly what you are referring to with regards to "More Songs"?

Looks like the Ocean Rain 2 CD set is 1 CD of Ocean Rain and 2nd CD is the 1983 Albert Hall concert (sans Heroin and Do It Clean). It is on their website. Comes out Sept 28ish

This Amazon URL is the EU release from two years ago.


edit// Interesting ... if you do a search for "More Songs to Learn and Sing", one of the results say that it is 2008, but it is the EU release from two years ago.

then they should correct their description as the 2006 issue has 8 videos on the dvd, not 12 as they claim.
