EMI is going to reissue The Buzzcocks first three albums (again), this time as 2-CD sets, with bonus tracks. The titles are "Another Music In a Different Kitchen", "Love Bites", and "A Different Kind of Tension". However, it looks as though they are using the same remasters as the previous single-disc reissues, which, is disappointing, as the sound quality for "Love Bites" was a big letdown for me, so I won't be getting that one again. I WILL be buying "Tension", as I missed it the last time it was reissued (and now is out-of-print and demands high prices), as I'm curious if the sound quality is that much more improved over the old I.R.S. CD.

I don't think A Different Kind of Tension was actually reissued in 2001, which is why I was happy to shell out the bux for the UK import a couple years back. Now that they're all available in the U.S. and for the price of a single CD, they're totally worth getting. Even if you don't care about the bonus disc of demos and Peel Sessions, they have the singles. Totally classic.

I just picked up three of the last five available tickets to see them at Double Door in Chicago on Sunday, woo hoo!
