amazon u.s. has both gun-shy and bikini red listed as pre-orders due 7 july from the wounded bird label at $13.98 each. no bonus tracks listed. no indication of them being remastered - anybody know for certain?

Or, you could go through CD Universe for $9.30 each. Almost always much less than Amazon, in this case $4.68 cheaper per disc.

so i emailed wounded bird asking if the 2 titles are digitally remastered and i got the following response: "There is no specific definition of the term "remastered". It depends on your definition of the term. Elektra does not let the master tapes out of their possession, they make a DAT copy and we master from that. Wounded Bird Records"

I know some of you involved in production with labels and what not. To my ears, what Wounded Bird wrote sounds like a wimpy (and rather dickish too) way of saying they're not remastered, but if you know otherwise, please let me know!

All I can say is that if it's on Wounded Bird, it will sound good. I've yet to have one discs from them that was not excellent quality. I am no audiophile so others may not agree, but my experience is you can expect a good quality disc, art and sound.

That's great . I don't think Gun Shy has been out on cd before . Has it?

barely, it was out for a very short period of time in the late 80's.
