To mark its 20th anniversary, Canada's Handful of Snowdrops have launched the expanded and remastered reissue of their legendary first album "Land of the Damned", just over 16 years after their final release, "Mort en Direct". Next to an improved sound quality, the album has been expanded with the track "Gabrielle MMIX", a totally new version of their hit, Gabrielle. This reissue will be available in a deluxe package that will see the CD arrive to your door accompanied by a T-Shirt and a poster. Each CD copy — deluxe or regular — of this very limited reissue will allow collectors to download a compilation of 12 early demos titled "Groundwork for Fundamentals Vol. 1", literally a sonic history of the band’s formative years, from 1984 to 1986.

"Land of the Damned" (Expanded & Remastered) will only be available online from Handful of Snowdrops' websiteAnd there is more coming up. In a post on the band's website frontman Jean-Pierre Mercier says: "Beginning with the re-release of Land of the Damned, I hope to be able to make all of the old HoS materiel available in future. It all depends on the success of this first release."

This is awesome! One of the most overlooked band and album of the 80's. Hope the other albums get re-released as a deluxe edition too.
