only one thing could make this not good news--if they release a disc with horrible sound quality.

It's not clear form the tracklisting if they're including the 12" remixes of the singles, which were really interesting.

Why on earth does it have to be coupled with the first album, which has been released on CD twice before? So there would be no more room for any bonus remixes? [V]

Someone has a copy of it - here's the nuts of the review he gave on amazon:

"This is the first time 'Get Us out of Here' as been put onto CD, and for that I'm grateful.

Its not been remastered from Vinyl either - you can tell it's really punchy and that the dynamics and detail are there.

There are two things that bother me :

1) In order to fit both albums onto one disc, they have cut short 'Emeralds and Pearls' with a quick fade....

2) The sound is rather bright, not only can you hear the analogue tape his quite prominently, the upper registers (cymbals and hi-hats and sibilance in Karl's voice are rather prominent).

I think the latter was the case with the original Vinyl release anyway, so I can forgive that. I remember thinking it could sound rather harsh."

Well, glad to see it wasn't a vinyl master - I sure could have done without the Doot Doot album and wish more of the GUOOH remixes/b-sides were on there, but I guess you take what you can get.

WOW. 5 out of 10 tracks from "Get us out of here" have been shortened? What about the tracks from "Doot Doot"?

Thanks for asking what I was about to: Is this still worth ordering since some of the tracks are cut?
