Is it me...or are the bass levels turned up wayyyy too high in the remaster. I do not own the original vinyl for these so I have nothing to compare them to. Let me know.

I hadn't noticed tbhwy...however, the second disc(s) full of "demo's"? are shitty. I dont understand why they didnt include b-sides or 12" mixes/extendeds? IMO, that would've made them much more sought after.....

Yeah...I only bought the single disc versions because I could care less about some muddy demos. The mix just seems so damn bass heavy.

Many of these "re-masters" are BS, i think. I really can't tell much of a difference (although i've heard the New Order complaints!). I stopped at the last Cure disc i love - Head on the Door - but Robert Smith is a $$ grubbing bastard. Remember the 'Curiosity' b-side on the 'Concert' cassette? You can get this only if you buy these cd's. RIP OFF!! Horrible demos and horible quality live shows. Thankfully they were pretty cheap.

I bought the rm of Faith when it came out and noticed the same bass trouble.

ALL (non-mix) B-Sides are released on Join The Dots, so why include them here again? As Mixed Up is still rumoured to be re-releases as well, I could imagine (and hope) that they will include all extended mixes up to 1990 as well on such a release.
I enjoy the demos a lot by the way - obviously not highquality, but what can one expect from cassette recordings done at home in 1980? It gives (at least for me) a nice insight into the process of the recordings. The downside is indeed some of the livestuff, where there is way better stuff to be found than some of the songs they chose for those rereleases. But maybe Robert didn't feel like going through xx recordings of each tour - at least it wouldn't surprise me...
