hopefully whichever label that picks up the final four won't take as long as universal did to get them out.

Generally speaking the reissues sounded tinny, forced and brickwalled, and I'm someone who doesn't normally notice that. The old CDs aren't perfect but still sound better.

Just curious; which four were not reissued yet?

Oops, nevermind. They are listed in the article above. Thanks again for the post.

I've already contacted CR about the reissues. If interested I hope to do the mastering.

That would be very cool Rubellan. I am especially interested in seeing what can be done with the Through The Looking Glass and Peepshow cds.

Scott, if you can do the mastering on these CD's I would be so happy, no kidding. Any release you can master would be nice!

I'd look forward to the Superstition remaster.

It's an odd move by Universal--I'd think Peepshow would have been one of the better-selling Siouxsie reissues. I'm a bit surprised they didn't remaster that and then cancel the series.

I'm sure that Cherry Red or Edsel would step in now (ooops !). Face To Face was in The Batman movie and was from the Superstition era. Kiss Them For Me & Shadowtime were hits too. I'm sure that someone will sooner or later reissue all the stuff.

It is kind of amazing how this band is getting treated. First the audio problems on the first round of reissues. Now this. Universal's heart sure is in the right place. I guess they are more interested in the whole boutique thing with Hip O Select and that stuff. Who knows.
They were twice as cutting edge as half of the other major label acts of the times, but I guess Universals actions show Siouxsie's sales didn't do as well in the long term. I always spoke of Siouxsie in the same sentence as the Cure, Echo, New Order... a high tier post punk act, with a ton of incredible b-sides and remixes. All the other "major" bands on that list had their core output released in 2 disc sets or nicely remastered with bonus tracks (NO obviously after a 2nd try)...
I guess Siouxsie just put out too many albums or something. I know that two of their last three albums, "Peepshow" and "Superstition" sold more than alot of their early 80's output. Those 2 aren't my fave Siouxsie albums but it would be cool to see them + the other 2 all released as a definitive set.

Yeah, they have definitely gotten the shaft with these remasters. And to stop with only 4 more to go, ridiculous. Hopefully, some other label can pick them up.
