Another Cherry Red blunder

Just received my copy of the remastered Eighth Wonder - Fearless, and tracks 3 and 14 are the same. Track 14 was supposed to be a Dance Mix. So now on top of twatting up the audio, they are failing at even completing the tracklist.

Reminds me of last year when Renaissance reissued Vitamin Z - Rites of Passage and did the same thing with tracks 2 and 11, Circus Ring. Track 11 was supposed to be a remix.

WTF is going on at these companies?

RIDICULOUS. I haven't even noticed that. Not only did it happen on Vitamin Z, but the reissues of A Flock of Seagull's Story of a Young Heart messed up and gave us the album versions of The More You Live The More You Love and Remember David twice instead of the 7" mixes as bonus tracks.

And also the Disco Mix of I'm Not Scared was edited out. I have the original cd single from 1988 which is almost 10 seconds longer.

I have mentioned this before but does anybody actually listen to these before they are released to the public[?] In the case of the sound quality that has affected many of these reissues by cherry red they should be released with a big sticker on the cover saying these are shitty vinyl rips and we haven't used the original master tapes. At least Demon/Edsel had the decency to replace faulty discs with corrected ones not like this bunch of cowboys.

Based on some of the errors on this reissue, a good supplement to have is the original Eighth Wonder 1988 12" remix compilation:

http://www.discogs.com/Eighth-Wonder-Th ... ase/559130

I'd never had their full length album before, and the one song that I really like is the Mike Chapman produced "When the Phone Stops Ringing," which even incorporates the riff from Blondie's "Heart of Glass." The Pet Shop Boys produced "I'm Not Scared" is also okay, but the boys actually recorded that song themselves as well.

by the way, it's "must have" or even the contraction "must've," not "must of."

My gosh, why are you on this thread if you hate Eighth Wonder? Just to belittle people and feel better about yourself?

For the record, I don't think it's petty for fans to expect master-tape quality or unedited versions of music they are paying for.

there's nothing 'pseudo' or 'intellectual' about it. It's basic grammar. And you're the only one alienating anyone on this board because you're being a total troll on pretty much every thread---including ones YOU created to add fuel to the fire.

They did a fantastic job with the White Door release - finally hearing Windows and the bonus tracks in crystal clear sound is a joy.

As for 8th Wonder, let's face it - without PSB they were nothing and with them they weren't exactly up to much.

Although Patty Kensit was really cute in her hey days with Eighth Wonder.

if there is one downside to this site, it's the arrogant assholes under the delusion that their opinion is indeed fact and thus have self-righteously crowned themselves the moderators of good musical taste and berate those who enjoy music that they don't care for. like anybody gives a shit when someone rips on a song/ album/ band they like.

Agree with you there Sean, she was.

Seems Clarence is having a tantrum, wonder if there's anyone who can take care of him?

Amusingly, the White Door CD also had a "swapped" track. Instead of including "Way Of The World" at listed, the CD has its B-side, "The Extra."
