I seem to recall Textures is on one of the other Midge compilations (No Regrets, perhaps)
[/quote]

Yes, it's on the "No Regrets" compilation.

Btw if any then this is the perfect companion to the Midge Ure 2 CD remasters. The only thing missing is the 12" After A Fashion [:(]

Maybe a decent master of AAF 12" doesn't exist . I have the 12" but I don't think it's ever been on cd. Am I right?

I think you are as "After A Fashion" 12" has never been on CD indeed.

Do you have that compilation in your collection (physical or digital, doesn't matter), moni? Sometimes extended versions are being differed from the 12" ones, you know. That's why I wasn't sure wheather to confirm it as a 12" or not.

There was only one extended version of After a Fashion and it seems to be on Echoes of Darkness compilation - at least the timing is right.

An interesting compilation, by the way, with some good selections.

Thanks for the info once again, Passing_Stranger!
"After A Fashion" 12"/extended now must find a way to be included on the future Midge Ure compilations, definitely. There's just no reason to be other way round.

Does anybody elses copy skip on 'Fields Of Fire' just before the vocal begins? Just wondering if it is a mastering fault.

Mines just got dispatched today so will have to wait to hear it. You surely got yours very quickly where did you order it from ?

Amazon UK. Pre order had release day delivery available and it arrived yesterday.

Cheers Moni, hope yours hasn't got the skip, but will be interested to find out.

The skip on 'Fields Of Fire' appears to be a mastering fault. A reviewer on Amazon has had two copies with the same problem.

Why does this happen more and more with cd's in recent years? Don't they have a person that listen to the album from beginning to end before press?

Sean, you'd think so but obviously that would be too simple!
