One of the most anticipated reissues this year I hope.... We could all use plenty of new TFF. The Hurting reissue, compressive 2cd singles set and of course a brand new record. Fingers crossed .

I'm hoping for a North American tour. New Order, OMD (well, before the drummer was hospitalized), Simple Minds, Gary Numan, et al prove that the continent is ripe for the picking.

Try living in a region - Australia - where we don't get a fraction of the live acts North America gets due to costs, etc.

Hope the dvd includes more than just the videos. TV performances would be nice. With regards to the 4-disc set, they have 3 discs to include all the rarities so they better do it.

Me too... wouldn't be too surprised if the dvd includes 'In My Mind's Eye' http://www.discogs.com/Tears-For-Fears- ... se/3707222
The Top Of The Pops appearances would be nice as well. Another option could be the gig recorded for Rockpalast in Bochum 1983, although with the above mentioned release, that seems rather unlikely.

I believe Curt Smith will be touring soon to support his new album Deceptively Heavy (released last week).

Well regardless of what we get, hope we get a better sounding remaster than Songs From The Big Chair

Are you referring to the 1999 remaster or the 2005 deluxe one? I thought the 2005 sounded ok where as the other was a bit loud.

the 2005 deluxe, can't fault the selection, but found the sound a little "flat" dynamically

The 2005 deluxe of "Songs From The Big Chair" was a disappointment with the track selection, in my opinion. Notable extended versions and rarities missing include the following:
"Everybody Wants To Rule The World [Extended Version]"
"Shout [U.K. Remix]"
"Everybody Wants To Run The World"
"Everybody Wants To Run The World [Running Version]"

Let's not forget the error of including "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" twice in its same version -- that is, it was supposed to be "Everybody Wants To RUN The World" on disc 2. Sloppy.

Hey, maybe we'll get a comprehensive deluxe edition for its 30th anniversary?

I hope the two of them can finally put together a decent album again....because 2004s Everybody Loves A Happy Ending was a complete disappointment for me.

Image of boxset and contents now up at Amazon.co.uk: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Hurting-Tears-F ... he+hurting

Looks like it's the CD, b-sides and remixes on CD2, while CD3 contains audio for In My Mind's Eye - Live From Hammersmith. The DVD is On The Road.
