According to the Thompson Twins Facebook page Cherry Red will release later this year a 2cd collection of the bands 12" singles etc. No official tracklist yet but Tom Bailey has approved and may even be involved I hope.

What is left? They had the box set with remixes and they already have a 12" disc.

I don't know but if there's ANYTHING left, I want it!

For one Watching (7") has never been on cd before. I also think that there's some radio edits out there. If this collection concentrates on one disc of just 7" versions and the other 12", then i'll be happy. Those Edsel remasters were screwed up as far as Into The Gap was concerned. How many of you were sent replacement copies? Besides it's rumored that the same team that put together the Paul Young Remixes & Rarities comp. is behind this one too. Fingers crossed.

Besides the fact that the 2008 Into The Gap replacement copies for disc 2 had their own problems (clear and hard audio pops on You Take Me Up (Machines Take Me Over) and You Take Me Up (High Plains Mixer)), all of the T.T. Edsel remasters were taken from MP3-sources. This was confirmed by a couple of sources/fans in 2009.

I have the Edsel 'Quick Step and Side Kick' 2 CD and there are no MP3's on it. Plus, it was entirely from master tapes. The 'A Product Of/Set' release was a different story. Lots of shoddy vinyl transfers despite pictures of the master tape boxes. I've never heard any of the others but remember reading all of the complaints at the time.

The HTTFD 2cd set was quite good. Excellent sound quality and was definitely the best out of the bunch.

What's left lol. How about loads. Do some research. I knew about this release last year. Had it confirmed from Vinny Vero. Glad it's finally on way i noticed this a few days ago on Facebook. Not been on this site for a while. I'm not keen on the new layout!

I've run all the Edsel discs through auCDtect, and the only one that showed a lot of MPG tracks was "Here's to Future Days" disc one. However, I own two different, earlier pressings of this album, and they both show many MPG tracks.

The sharoma.com site claims MP3s without proof. Unless some of those fans can provide evidence that they are MP3 sources, I call bullshit.

I'm glad to know that finally a proper remaster of Sister Of Mercy (12") will appear. The Edsel version was messed up. Even the replacement disc version.
