I have been wondering whether the price of the box set is set that high because of the cost of the artwork (apparently the cartoonist is quite famous). I would have been happy with a plain white cover with an elegant font and a cheaper price instead. I don't even think the cartoonist has any relation to the Human league. Adrian Wright on the other side would have been perfect to curate and design the box. He was the visual conceptualist of the band since The future and remained with the band till late 80's albums.
I find the artwork horrible and I don't think I will be parading the box set like I would have had for their single covers and albums.

more likely because of the book, and also the rights to getting all the videos,
and the unreleased tracks.

My worst fear is to pre-order this at 79 GBP's and see a week later the same thing on sale at ever other store for half the price.

why do people buy things when then first come out? if you have the money, you won't care how it much costs, so just get it and enjoy it.

obviously it's going to be cheaper at some point if you wait.

get the digital version first, and then wait for the physical product. its not likely to sell out.

It will definitely be cheaper later but I have had instances where it was way cheaper just a week after. It is fun and exciting to get things when they are first released. You've waited a while for it and you just want it as soon as you can get it. I can accept it being cheaper a month or 2 down the line, just not in the first week or two if that makes sense.

its always a guessing game isn't it , if you leave it to long it can backfire . e.g. the Tears for fears hurting box set goes for quite a bit now

I agree with the people who have said they should have done something like the marc almond box set or dead or alive . I think most people would buy this set for the CD 3 . the only thing I can think of is that they are maybe waiting to do some more expanded versions of travelogue and reproduction. I was really miffed that they have put an early demo version of Marianne instead of the great Australian version which the band admitted was one of the best things they have done

1 error reported in the super deluxe version:

THE HUMAN LEAGUE – A VERY BRITISH SYNTHESIZER GROUP - 3CD / 1DVD Box Set
We are extremely sorry but due to an error by the printers the outside back sheet of the initial batch of 3CD / 1DVD Super Deluxe Editions and the booklet inside it both contain an incorrect running order for the BBC portion of the DVD – it should say that it contains 24 BBC performances, not 25 as listed.
If you have purchased a copy of the 3CD / 1DVD Box Set and would like a replacement sheet for the outside back of the box and a replacement booklet to go inside it the record company will be happy to send you one at their expense regardless of where you live.
If you wish to take advantage of this offer please just mail your name and address to the following email address with ‘THE HUMAN LEAGUE’ in the email header -infoumc@umusic.com . Again our most sincere apologies for this mistake, Universal will do their utmost to make it right for anyone affected.
Please note this fault does not apply to the regular 2CD release, just the 3CD / 1DVD Box Set.
