Blank & Jones claim that all tracks are from masters (no vinyl transfers). We'll see!

why people around this forum seem to think companies will make every track available for compilations is
puzzling to me.
of course you're going to see the same songs over and over, because most labels and artist WILL NOT ALLOW their
tracks to be put on compilations.

I like it that you're including 'This Island Earth' on your dream compilation.
I'd also like to suggest a few 'long lost' synth pop classic tracks for forthcoming compilations, all of which I haven't seen on cd so far.
These are my favourites which I'd like to see on cd:
Person To Person - High Time (Nigh Time Mix)
Reflexx - Viel Zu Viel (Club Mix)
Zak - Let's Trade
Novo - Extremix
This Island Earth - See That Glow (Special U.S. Remix)
Wang Chung - Don't Let Go (Special Version)
Wang Chung - Wait (Remix)
Endgames - Love Cares (Extended Version)
Endgames - Desire (Extended Version)
Malcolm McLaren - Duck Rock Cheer
F-A-N - Das Phänomen (Der Revier Mix)
Both the 'Endgames' and 'Person To Person' debut albums also failed to get a cd release so far, I had already suggested to Cherry Red once yet I guess there'd be not enough commercial interest...
Also the brilliant single of the short lived Ricky Gervais project 'Seona Dancing' has only appeared on a rare Philippine cd so far: Bitter Heart (Extended) - a true gem!

Well, it sounds like "The Magician [Pecky Plus Mix]" is from vinyl. Listen to the hiss in the beginning and at the end. Regardless, it's an excellent transfer.

It sounds like the same source as what is on Classic Alternatives 3 except it is remastered with more compression. Both have that noticeable noise at the beginning like it was ripped from vinyl, but I'm starting to think maybe the master tape for this mix is just noisy. I always thought the C.A. version was taken from vinyl but maybe it is just hissy master tape? The thing is on the album mix from A Dark Enchantment there is no such noise. Who knows.
