They are going to fix the "loud & compressed sound" as well? I'll believe it when I hear it. THEN I'll actually buy it!

Frank Arkwright (who helmed the remastering of The Smiths’ Complete box) has remastered the collection at Abbey Road, with all audio sourced from “high quality transfers” (don't know what that's about!).

There is a Promo Edit of Blue Monday (4min10sec), but it's understandable why they din't include that one.

Wondering which 7 inch version is going to be used for Bizarre Love Triangle, because there are 2, the 'normal' one (3min47sec) and the Canadian Edit (3min39sec).

Same here for the 7 inch for The Perfect Kiss, there are 2, the 'normal' one (4min28sec) and the Ivan Ivan Edit (3min53sec).

Good thing that the 1987 version of 1963 is replaced by the official single remake version from 1995, because Arthur's version is king (Arthur Baker that is) :D .

By the way, I also would have used the Perfecto Edit for World instead of the 7 inch album version. This, because it seems they finally chose Spooky (Minimix) instead of the 7 inch album version. It's a very different mix, but hey ... minor complain.

This time, I would have skipped Turn and I’ll Stay With You was never a single in any way, shape or form. If anything, Hellbent should be on there in its place, together with the 3 singles from Music Complete (if there's room left).

Discogs and NO collectors might disagree with you on that

i'm glad they're repressing this. The original 2005 cd was too harsh sounding to the ears. Happy to see 1963-95 appear.

Again, I ask, what is the appeal of 7" edits.

Great to see this reissued. Wish they had the Perfecto mix of World, but that's okay.

And how did they get the 7" of Run 2 on there? Isn't that blocked from release?

The 12 inch mix was on that ghastly 2008 collecters edition so i presume they must have got clearance for it back then.

It's a bit of a cheek asking people to fork out £13.99 for this when they bought the fucked up one originally. They should be selling this for at the most £5.99.

Agree with you on that, they could have released it as Mid price, say £7.99, no more.

doesn't anybody ever wait for things to be used, or discounted?

who cares what the release price is, and getting it on day one for old material.

i always wait a long time, unless its a limited release (and even then), for the price to come down to a reasonable level.

anybody that pays full price, has too much money, and doesn't care about the cost to buy it anyways.
