Because it's a career overview of Marc Almond and Soft Cell were part of his career?

Looks like an excellent one-stop shop for all of his single a-sides and some decent rarities and unreleased stuff.

IMHO this dude has been way too prolific. Most of Soft Cell and Marc + Mambas is great. Thereafter...spotty, degrading to blah. I have all the Soft Cell and Mambas I could possibly want. Maybe they threw the Soft Cell stuff in there for people who don't know who he is. I dunno. It is utterly redundant.

10 discs is ridiculous. 2-3 discs of Marc post-Mambas might be interesting, as I (and I suspect many others), lost interest as his career "progressed".

I dunno-- I am big Marc Almond fan and have almost track there even the supposed gems. Some choices I am surprised were selected like "Catch a Fallen Star" a bit of a cringer for the unintiated. There are a bunch of new tracks the Russian period tracks that well were not my favorite. It's a bit stale and not that exciting for me.
I wish they would habve included these rarities..besides the unreleased on CD almond b-sides i.e "The Heel" or "Love for Sale"

3. Discipline with PTV
4. an Immaculate Consumptive unreleased track
5. the supposed "Dirt Behind the Neon" mambas track
