Minor Detail on CD!

Minor Detail on CD!

Postby Passing_Stranger » Sat Nov 12, 2016 10:25 am

Hi everyone!Just received the new CD from Lost80s guys - by Minor Detail. This one, as all of the label's previous releases, has never been on CD so it surely is a remarkable debut for one of the lesser-known 1980s bands. It took me some time to really appreciate their songkraft but now I think it's one of the better "New Wave" albums and deserves wider appreciation. So wholly recommend it to all who know and those who doesn't :D

Remastering is top-notch (as is expected), the sound is dynamic with no hint of loudness or brickwalling - just how it should be but so often isn't. Even the artwork is good so I feel it's my duty to tell people here about this release. Hope there'll be others to share my point of view.

Cheers!

These are high quality bootlegs so purchasing isn't straightforward.

Oh wow - yes I also hoped it was a legitimate release. I'd been enjoying my own version ripped from vinyl for years with the clicks and pops removed best I could, then it came out on iTunes/Amazon. Hoorah! Except ... it was ripped from vinyl, with the clicks and pops NOT removed. My own version sounded better.

Has this new version also been ripped from vinyl (or cassette)? If not, I might give it a shot.

A friend of mine has some of these releases by this label and said the quality is excellent.

For those wishing to sample the quality check the first song here:

http://www20.zippyshare.com/v/QjtJZqm3/file.html

And what's the point about how "legit" the release is? CD is a dying format, no "legit" label will invest in releasing such little-known, cult albums as this one. So it's either make your own effort or pay for the others. I know times are hard, financially or otherwise, but if you're a fan of quality CD releases and wishing to have the album in question there's no reason not support this one.
