Hi all! Just received this CD by ARS Benelux. Singer previously unknown to me so started listening hesitantly - but the proceeds turned out to be very good. What stroke me is that this Belgian guy is like a brother to UK's Philip Jap, known and loved around here. Fawn's music is a lot more electronic, with synths and drum machines taking up most of the sonic space, but there are common theatrical bits and pieces (violins, folk or cabaret stylings), common syncopated and generally quite complex rhythms. The vocals, admittedly, are less Bowie-inflenced and not as histrionic, more restrained - but coupled with music they paint a very familiar picture. Maybe you can also put Zaine Griff on the same table. Overall, a very pleasant surprise, never thought I could draw this comparison (I personally like Jap and Griff very much).

As for the CD, it's factory pressed with good booklet (that contains Fawn's personal file from which we discover that, of course, Bowie is his fave artist - no surprises here :D ). The sound is great - clean and crisp, seemingly straight from master tapes, with no loudness issues whatsoever (a rare thing these days, sadly). This CD is listed on Discogs (https://www.discogs.com/Allan-Fawn-The- ... se/9177109), there are no copied for sale, but I suggest to keep looking - it's really worth it.
