I have these as well but as I posted a few months back I actually had to adjust the EQ of the main albums so I'm curious how these masters will compare. The 2001 sets were somewhat muffled and lacking some high end. Am I understanding that the further listening discs have also been remastered (the original 2001 further listening discs actually sounded better than the album discs)? I thought the original announcement said only the albums would be remastered. I will definitely check into these to see if it's worth replacing the original sets

there's still some confusion about whether the further listening tracks are remastered, however they are listed as 2018, so maybe they are.

i have all the originals, and think they are fine as is.

in listening to all the new masters, i can't really tell if they are that much better than the originals for the ones i have.

Still hoping PSB will finally put out a singles box set complete with all officially released material. You just know it would be gorgeous and sell well. I'll never understand why so many artists/labels remain defiant or ignorant about putting out stuff that WAS initially released commercially and that fans have been vocal about wanting on CD for years. It's both a cash cow for them and a must-have for fans. Win-win it would seem.

it's a lot easier to milk current releases, or rehash old ones over and over again multiple times. there are always plenty of people that have never heard the originals,
and they outnumber the small number of fans that care about the original mixes and tracks.

they are there to make money, not please fans, unless you are bjork, big country, or some other band that can control all your material, and release tons of boxsets,
compilations, and actually release what the fans want.

it's been a losing battle for a long time, and doesnt seem to be getting any better anytime soon, especially with the pet shop boys.
