Pity that there was never a long or instrumental version of Waves, it's such a beautiful song.
Anyway, glad that both long versions of Don't Tell Me (the Extended and the Remix) are represented here.

Are these for a fact brand new remasters or the same Edsel ones from a while back?

Your Time Is Over which came out on the 1990 Second Helpings compilation is a strange omission.
Also the Irene And Mavis EP on CD (for the first time?) would have been welcome for completist's sake.

No word on if these are new masters, but I really hope they are. Shame with all the BBC audio there's no video material included. Bunging in the complete videos and a TOTP compilation would have been very welcome.

The photos of all three 3-CD sets on the band's website show the Edsel label on the CD's so I assume they are likely the same "remasters" from the previous 2-CD sets just with some additional material.

I thought the sound on those 2-CD sets was horrendous compared to the original CD releases. The Retro:Active series included several Blancmange 12" remixes and the sound on those was far better than the Edsel releases in my opinion.

The Blanc Tapes boxset is being made available once again due to overwhelming public demand thru Amazon UK. However the newer stock won't be the exclusive signed copies, just the regular ones.

How is the sound quality on these Brickwalled or not?

i'm glad they're putting out more of the boxsets.

i don't mind not having a signed print, so it's not that big an issue.

looking forward to them. i don't recall the remasters being too loud.
