Same here. But since Nightlife etc. have never been remastered they're getting the push first. I was hoping for mega deluxe editions of Please,Actually,Introspective and Behavior. Surely there must be enough material to fit on 3cds. Bit bummed that the earlier albums will have the same track listings.

Yes, could be laziness, could be tactic playing (not to make fans angry that they have to buy them again -- just like Saint Etienne did recently with there re-release of their deluxe packages).

PSB fans will wait patiently for anything by the band, because they know the fans will buy it regardless.

I was a huge fan of them, until a couple of years ago. Have all their CD's and CD-singles until Super. But I don't feel the need (anymore) to go for this reissue series.
Still hoping for a boxset for the first 3 albums (something like the Blancmange boxset) ... actually :?

I skipped Electric and Super. For me Elysium was their last good album. Don't know if i'll be buying the new remasters yet... Perhaps Fundamental because i adore Trevor Horn.

The sets seem a little overstuffed with demos for my tastes. They can be an interesting curiosity for one listen but rarely anything beyond that. The glaring omission of the Almighty remixes of "Try It" or the equally superb Hitmakers remixes of "...Drunk" from the Brazilian promo is a bummer since they have never been commercially available.

The albums themselves aren't screaming to be remastered anyway. Certainly by 1999 the mastering process for CDs had come a long way from simply using the frequency-limited vinyl masters of the 80s. I will certainly be curious about the difference, if any. The only real change I can foresee is they will likely be slightly more compressed to be more in line with more current releases which means everyone will be complaining how "loud" they are (I personally don't mind some compression but admit if it's not done well the result can be harsh).

I will certainly preview these sets "just in case' some of the unreleased stuff is AMAZING, but at the moment have no intention of picking them up.

Disappointed the earlier albums will not expand to 3 disc sets as we all know there remain enough officially released mixes yet to be released on CD or that could benefit from remastering. I'm encouraged that they will be remastered again though, because as I stated in the other thread, the 2001 sets actually did not sound very good (very muffled and hollow) - the main album discs, that is. The bonus discs generally sounded very good.

Yeah, those remixes wouldn't be included in any case as the Further Listening sets are limited to their own remixes. I too wish they'd add extra material to the earlier ones, as I have these and while I'd love to have new remasters, I really can't justify the cost.

Hoping the mastering on the new sets is good. In saying that, anything would be better than the mastering on Electric and Super (and the awfully compressed single mix of Memory of the Future).

Since there's a major reissue PSB underway now, maybe an album of unreleased remixes might appear next year. Who knows?

Let's get the released mixes that haven't been released on CD yet first.

What i meant was for the mixes that were left off last time around on the 2001 remasters.
