Maybe it's vinyl sourced. I don't remember it ever being on cd before. The Mendelsohn mix of King Without A Crown that was on one of the earlier so80s cds was also from vinyl.

Just like the Through The Barricades Deluxe earlier this year, the Spandau track suggests that we probably will have a deluxe of Heart Like A Sky (their 2nd CBS record) next year? (?!)

According to the Men themselves, all tracks are from the original tapes.

I'm definitely interested in the ABC track as well. Great mix. The last few So80s offerings sounded very good actually and the tracks I was most interested in on those were definitely not vinyl rips.

This is the first release off of the So80's series that I actually have no interest in buying at all. There are a few good tracks but they are already available on cd. The remaining stuff other than the ABC track they are really scraping the bottom of barrel. There are so many other good 80's extended mixes that still need to be on cd. Also bummer that it only has 2 discs.

you should read the comments about that. they have NO CONTROL over what the labels will let them release, and what they are allowed to have access to.

also the time it takes to clear the licenses is very long.

sure, there are tons of tracks you could wish for, but they are not likely to happen.

it's up to fans to do the work, like at burning the ground site, which has hundreds of rare tracks, promos, and others that have never been on cd.

there's plenty of other places to look for, besides commercial releases.

yes, the labels and artist aren't getting compensated, but most fans have those releases, or it's a good advertisement if you like the band to get more of their stuff.

I understand what you are saying Negative1 but I just feel like this tracklisting is really weak compared to the previous 10 volumes. I have always thought B&J have some control over the content but from what you are saying, I guess not. Just a little bummed because I always look forward to these So80s releases and the tracklisting on this one (which we have waited awhile for) did absolutely nothing for me.

I agree with Sean on this too. i always look forward to the so80s collection and will probably buy this one too... but the tracks are very weak.. no real zingers in there except Picnic at the Whitehouse for me. The fact that Blank and Jones have revealed their limitations to track access tells us that they would have picked other tracks too but they can't --i believe they are not all that thrilled about the final track list themselves. But nonetheless being a collector I am the problem to this marketing scheme because I am going to own one anyhow...

they sound great.
very good job on them.

too bad, there's not many other tracks on here worth getting.
