Yes I already ordered! And got my signed card ;)
I haven't checked yet what tracks/versions are unique to this set,
or if it actually contains ALL released tracks from this early period.
(There are some tracks that have been released on compilation CDs etc.)

mmmmmrmm ! I love this album but does it warrant a fourth purchase , vinyl , first CD release , 2 CD deluxe version and then this

my only complaint is that they must have known about these tracks when the 2 cd version was released unless they are a new find through the vaults

might wait and see what the reviews are and if the new tracks are worth it , I would imagine most of them would be studio experiments

I took the time and brain effort to "tag" the tracks:

Film One 4.00 [B-side Underpass 1/80]
This City 3.05 [2nd 7" in double 7" set No-One Driving 3/80]
To Be with You 4.24 [from 2007 METAMATIC 2-CD]
Cinemascope 3.27 [from 2007 METAMATIC 2-CD]
Burning Car 3.12 [non-LP 7" 7/80]
Glimmer 3.35 [B-side No-One Driving 3/80]
Mr. No 3.12 [B-side This City in double 7" set No-One Driving 3/80]
Young Love 3.10 [from 1993 METAMATIC CD]
20th Century 3.04 [B-side Burning Car 7/80]
My Face 3.22 [flexi disc 10/80]
Underpass 3.18 [Single Edit]
No-One Driving 3.42 [Single Remix]
Like a Miracle [1979 Version] 3.56 [from 2007 METAMATIC 2-CD]
A New Kind of Man (Alternative 1979 Version) 4.31 [from 2007 METAMATIC 2-CD]
He's a Liquid (Alternative Version) 3.01 [B-side Underpass promo-only 12" 1/80]
Plaza (Extended Version) [from CD METAL BEAT 2007 & 2-CD GLIMMER: BEST OF JOHN FOXX 2008]
Underpass (Extended Version) 4.25 [from 2CD+DVD METATRONIC 2010]
Blurred Girl (Longer Fade Version) [previously unreleased]

A Frozen Moment [previously unreleased]
He’s a Liquid (Instrumental Dub) [previously unreleased]
Mr. No (Alternative Version) [previously unreleased]
The Uranium Committee [previously unreleased]
A Man Alone [previously unreleased]
Over Tokyo [previously unreleased]
Terminal Zone [previously unreleased]
Urban Code [previously unreleased]
A Version of You [previously unreleased]
Glimmer (Alternative Version) [previously unreleased]
Fragmentary City [previously unreleased]
Metamorphosis [previously unreleased]
Approaching the Monument [previously unreleased]
Critical Mass [previously unreleased]
Alamogordo Logic [previously unreleased]
Touch and Go (Early Version) [= complete version of the version on CD METAL BEAT 2007??]
Miss Machinery [previously unreleased]
No-One Driving (Early Version) [probably from 2-CD GLIMMER: BEST OF JOHN FOXX 2008]
Burning Car (Early Version) [from 2CD+DVD METATRONIC 2010]
Like a Miracle (Early Version) [= demo extract 2.01 from CD METAL BEAT 2007 ?]
No-One Driving (Alternative Version) [previously unreleased]

So it looks like an entire CD's worth of unreleased material! And the titles! I would have bought it only for those titles! Sooo 1979 :D

It doesn't hurt that the price is a modest £14.99 either! My wife already ordered mine even before I knew about it. It was supposed to be my birthday present in September but I was immediately going to order it when a friend mentioned it to me. Then she told me. oops.

My only John Foxx stuff is the boxset The Virgin Years and Glimmer The best of. Is it worth investing in this one?

I would say it's worth it just for the [far more brutal] early version of "Burning Car," but that's just me. If you REALLY LIKE "Metamatic" then, absolutely. "The Virgin Years" box version is otherwise pretty thorough with the commercially released material of the era. £14.99 for a three CD version is a good price, to me.

Thanks. I think I'll probably end up getting it at some point.

Better that they take their time and get it right the first time.
