Reading elsewhere people are saying their orders have dispatched from Amazon but this message was posted on SDE yesterday I think I might be able to explain. The intended release was not taken from the master tapes. Most of it came from dodgy vinyl, which is a shame because the masters exist. Changes to the artwork and credits were neither approved. Almost a bootleg! I think people deserve better and so I requested that they start again and do it properly. Another album is being put together and will be available soon. I would suggest you wait as unlike the scrapped album it won’t include tracks that were never recorded e.g. Spanish or other non existant versions. Sorry for the delay.

So more and more people care for this band and their short-lived career. Great to read you were involved in this new proces too. Thank you very much. I sincerely do hope the 'new tracklist' will be a much better one and will beat the Re-Fuse box for this period.

Cherry Red taking shortcuts on a sound quality? Who could have imagined... Glad they got called out on this because it sounds like it would have been another of their many disastrous releases. Side stepping masters when they exist is such a shady practice.

I found a new copy today at my local record store here in Australia, so it definitely got manufactured! What do you want to know about it?

Oh wow. Please let us know how the sound quality is? how many vinyl rips are there with all the bonus remixes. We were all under the impression that Cherry Red decided to pull it off at the last minute and redo it after several complaints about the bonus track selection.

OK I haven't had a chance to listen much yet but even after a few minutes I've noticed a couple of major errors:

1) The last 4 seconds (5:31-5:35) of Disc 1 Track 11 (Cruel World (12" Extended Version)) suddenly cuts off; the track continues but it is silent.
2) The last 4 seconds (9:25-9:29) of Disc 2 Track 6 (Hurt (U.S. 12" Promo Rubber Dubber Mix)) suddenly cuts off; the track continues but it is silent.

I noticed some vinyl crackle on at least one of the bonus tracks but haven't had a chance to listen closely.

Overall the sound is not bad but I prefer the more dynamic 1993 CD. The bass & treble has been boosted as with many remasters. The extra bass is nice but the overall effect is too bright for me; the vocals sound more recessed & less clear than the 1993 CD. Here are the dynamic range ratings. It is about 10% better than the Re-Fuse box but about 20% worse than the 1993 CD. The credits list Oli Morgan at Fluid Mastering as responsible for the mastering.

It has finally been removed from Amazon.

It's still listed on Amazon.com.au (This item will be released on December 7, 2018), but that site is always behind.

Mine just shipped from Amazon US.

I saw this today in Amsterdam (FAME store). Didn't buy it, but there were 3 sealed copies left! So this release made it to the big stores ... I wonder what will happen next year ...

The only release listed is from a label called Solid. It’s priced almost twice as much with no further details. Release date is next month. As soon as I get mine I’ll let you guys know .

Just got a notification yesterday from Amazon that my order has been canceled and that i've been refunded only a day before they said it got shipped. Strange !

Paul Fishman (who played keyboards with the band) actually left a comment on SDE giving his explanation and thoughts on the situation. This is what he said:

So it looks like the reissue will happen, it but we’ll have to be patient. Here are the original details about the now cancelled release.
