Shriekback "Some Kinds Of Light" dec 2019

Hello,
I would talk about the last release of Shriekback.
Some people who listen to synthpop will prefer "Jam Science" from 1984.
Nowadays, Shriekback is more postpunk, sounding more Gang Of Four but Shriekback is Shriekback...

Shriekback have wandered all over the stylistic spectrum, but with the exception of "Go Bang," their work has a distinct and powerful artistic point of view apart from any stylistic variances. The latest album is very good, and it ends with a trio of powerfully quiet songs that build an amazing mood to end on. There are five songs each by Carl Marsh and Barry Andrews and having Marsh back the last few albums has upped the band's game. There are great Shriekback albums without Carl Marsh but personally, I'd rather have him contributing than not. He adds flavorful seasoning to the pot.
