I never do preorders, per se. Because of how many times releases by other labels end up delayed or screwed up, I always wait to take people's money until I get the finished product in hand, look and listen to it in full, and confirm everything is as it should be. Since I set my release dates on Fridays, I generally start taking orders early that same week after I have the product and am satisfied, so it's usually only a 2-3 day preorder period for all of my releases.

I generally announce when it's available for preorder purchase to my mailing list (which can be signed up from the website), as well as posting it on my Facebook and Twitter pages, and then a couple of the forums I frequent. There is a small chance PV could be delayed a week because production says it will be ready between the 24-27th. With my planned release on the 28th, I will have to move it out a week if I don't receive the stock at least 2-3 days in advance. They finished my last release earlier than anticipated, I hope they do the same with this one.

For those familiar with the music videos, you will recognize a couple of quick and silly parodies I tossed in. The CD came out great. The colors of the artwork are much more brilliant than my 30 year old original CD, and of course it sounds a lot better:
