4 discs + Steve Wilson 5.1 mix on Blu Ray I believe. There is no video content this time. No promo videos or concerts.

This edition contains not only the original album, but a new 5.1 mix by Steven Wilson which was done in conjunction with Roland Orzabal, as well as all the relevant B-Sides, alternate mixes and around 60 minutes of previously unheard demos and live rehearsals. The set is housed in a shoe box style box (similar to the other 2 releases) with an extensive booklet, with new interviews by Super Deluxe editor Paul Sinclair with the band and other players on the album. Also contains the tour program.

Would be interested in the first SDLX for "The Hurting" but TFF were never top tier for me. 2nd blockbuster album was a big fat worldwide hit and better than much of the competing 1985 landscape, [Propaganda ruled 1985 for me] but not an album I return to. Nothing was too exciting in 1985 as compared to 5 years earlier. The debut is the interesting one for me, and even then, not gripping. Just okay. Never heard the third one. I bought the singles from "Sowing The Seeds Of Love" and that was it for TFF and me. Saw the "Big Chair" tour in a terrible arena. The "Elemental" tour in a club was more enjoyable though I still have not heard an album past the 2nd one to this day. Apart from their great B-side disc which I found interesting. Glad this is finally coming out for the fans, though! People have been waiting a long time for this one, I think!

Nothing to complain here. Seems everything is there in one place so I'm going for the fat one.

lots of complaints about the videos missing, and going to california.

i'm getting that on laserdisc to transfer.

i never liked this album, but will get this to complete the trilogy boxset.

You're right about the videos and other visual stuff like documentaries, but for me, I am always out for the ear and can do without the eye. However, I'm still searching for their The Hurting boxset.

Monk: I'm with you on this one. The Hurting I loved, actually, then the Big Chair album was good enough, nothing close to their debut. But Seeds of Love just seemed so bland and regular, like a sound that had been done a thousand times before. I keep seeing people raving about the technical qualities of the album, so maybe I should listen to it again in that mindset. But as far as just listening to the songs, sure doesn't grab me.

TSOL album is excellent. It's the swansong of TFF's 80s legacy that began with The Hurting (raw/emotional/brilliant) , Songs From The Big Chair (commercial triumph) and concluded with the grand Seeds... think of it as their Abbey Road in a way. It was four years in the making and deserves to be up there with all their best work. The two 90s albums were ok as was their reunion Everybody Loves A Happy Ending from 2004. But the defining albums of their career are definitely the first three. Who knows when the new album that has been 5 years in the making will come out?

this one, only the UKRAINE seems to have copies available.

The DVD just recently went out of stock. Probably due to people buying it after realising it’s not on the boxset

i ended up getting the laserdisc. but if i do get the DVD, there are 3 copies from the ukraine for sale.
