Postby BigManRestless » Mon Aug 14, 2023 2:59 am

Past Night From Glasgow are reissuing the first Win album on vinyl (early 2024) and CD (late 2023).

No mention of any bonus tracks at this stage.

It will only be available from them directly:

Great label, Last Night from Glasgow, and this is such a coup for them. They’ve been trailering it for a while, I wouldn’t expect many bonuses, if at all from their comments but who cares, it’s an amazing, neglected album and well worth supporting.

This is great news , been waiting for this for ages

have ordered my copy but as stated no indication of the track listing , the original CD had some extra tracks including the excellent Shampoo tears extended so lets hope at least they keep to that track listing

I asked Ian the head of LNFG / PNFG about bonus tracks and he said they were looking into it.

It's great news after years of disappointment. I have an original CD copy but happy to order the CD reissue! Warning - it's only available to pre-order until 31st August, and is being made to order. There will be none available anywhere else! So you have about two weeks to bag a copy. CD comes with a bonus postcard set.

Bonus-wise, I was wondering if I should contact them about the TV ad soundtrack edit, with the alternate lyrics? I have that on a CD.

Definitely worth getting in touch. I've got the original CD as well, and I think there's some some scope for other mixes and versions for bonus tracks.

Had a reply back on my question re tracklisting . They stated it is not confirmed yet as they are digging through the masters to see what is usable. So looking promising

I did get in touch and the 2 minute TV ad version should be included...

"In addition to snaring the original masters, we have masters now for 2 x 12" mixes, all the single b-sides, the McEwans edit of YGTP and 4 peel sessions, oh and the original demos"

Wow - even better than I hoped for. Wonder if this will be a double CD?

I assume the two twelves will be the You Got The Power and Shampoo Tears twelves from the original cd. Has to be two disc now, that little lot will be over 80m surely.

Paul McGeechan is busy remastering the Win album, we have all the 12" and 7" mixes and b-sides, along with a couple of extra rarities and BBC Sessions. The Vinyl album will contain 1/2 bonus tracks, the full CD tracklisting will be revealed shortly. You can still secure a copy of either by joining LNFG for 2024. A stand alone BBC Sessions album may follow in 2024

Hello Moni , I think the label were quite clear that this would be a limited release and the time span for orders had a closure date and they would then produce based upon that . If you ordered during that period then you could get it for about £14.99 ( may have even been cheaper).

you can now only get it outside of that order period by becoming a member i believe which as you say is quite costly

so agree with you i would not pay that amount for it but i think they were quite clear at the beginning on what the situation would be . They are a good label and seem to care for their artists
