Lol Tolhurst x Budgie x Jacknife Lee "Los Angeles"03/11/2023

while surfing the net, I found this information: Lol Tolhurst x Budgie x Jacknife Lee release an album Los Angeles - The Debut Album...

Alongside the drummers from the legendary bands The Cure, Siouxsie & The Banshees - The Creatures, we find Jacknife Lee, whom I barely know. In my discotheque, I find him with REM "Accelerate" or "collapse Into Now" or U2 "Songs of Experience", bands I adore but whose aforementioned albums aren't among my favorites, no doubt due to my Eighties roots... On the other hand, he also worked with The Editors on "An End Has a Start" and that caught my curiosity even more.
This supergroup doesn't seem to have its own singer, inviting a host of collaborators such as Bobby Gillespie (lead singer of Primal Scream and first drummer of The Jesus and Mary Chain), The Edge, Mark Bowen (Idles) and James Murphy(death metal guitarist and recognized sweeping expert). It's all quite confusing, and enough to arouse curiosity...

Here's an extract to make up your own mind

Finally, to give the uninitiated like me an idea of what "sweeping" is all about, I found this:
