Burbank CA release: Troublemakers

Burbank CA release: Troublemakers

I'm thinking this double-LP I have may be a lost gem of the era. Randall Roq, who I see is from Burbank in his profile notes, might get a kick outta this. I have got to find the time to rip this album. The liner notes read:

There is a new mood in Burbank, and new music to go with it. The mood and the music don’t always conform to the rules by which Big Time Radio chooses the records it plays. This does not necessarily reflect poorly on the quality of the importance of new music., but says rather that seekers of the status quo tend nonetheless to look upon those who promulgate new things as Troublemakers.

Troublemakers are welcome in Burbank. Here they are not judged merely by their sales potential or their demographic bases, but rather by what they do and how well they do it. Our business is to record what they do and make it available to everyone we can, every way we can, because we feel that the more people we expose to our Troublemakers, the better. [yeah, trite and self-serving, but that's ok]

It's compiled and annoted by a Jim Bickhart in 1979. Has anybody else seen this? They give a bio on each of the bands in the center spread. Some of the tracks...

Urban Verbs - Subways
Robin Lake & the Chartbusters - Don't Wait Till Tomorrow
Wire - Map Ref
Marianne Faithful - Working Class Hero
John Cale - Temper
Modern Lovers - I'm Straight
Devo - Social Fools
Pearl Harbor - You Got It (release it!)
Nico - My Only Child
Brian Briggs - Nervous Breakdown
Gang of Four - Anthrax
PIL - Swan Lake
Plus one or two more tracks by each band.
