Why not make your own low quality versions, I happen to like the 320's.

Thanks mskremember.

I like them a lot of but find that I don't keep up because of the confusion without the tags...kinda my pet peeve. You go through such huge effort, why not take that final step and do a little typing?

Thanks Mario - this is great of you to be sharing these songs! I like everything about YCLtiN... from song selection to file size, no complaints here (who doesn't love free stuff?!)
I have a question though...
I came into this a little late and downloaded my first batch of songs about a week ago or so, and when I downloaded I didn't rename them... now I can't seem to find the track names. Can someone help me with the titles for these:
SOUND.R1
SOUND.R2
SOUND.R3
SOUND.R4
SOUND.R6
SOUND.R7

Thanks,

-mk-

Hi everybody.
Having read that you want me to tag the files, I am going to explain you, as I already did last week, that when the file is opened the screen displays the name of the band, the song and aditional info.
At least when using WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER.
Take a look at the following and you will see what I mean:

Best Regards.

Hey Mario,
Thanks again for the great music! I think what your hearing is that you are doing better at tagging the mp3's, but you need to change the actual mp3 title. You can do this by right clicking on the mp# and select change name, then change the generic title to the actual song name, however you want to keep the extension type such as.mp3 at the end or it will be unuseable. example:SOUND.R1.mp3 click and hilite SOUND.R1 and change that to the actual group and song title.
Hope this helps
Chuck.

I'm trying to listen to them later to see if I like them, but I'm finding that I'm falling behind. I don't particulary care for extended versions & remixes, I prefer the originals, but that's just me. There are a lot of artists & songs that I have never heard before so I think this is great overall.

Cee,

Extended versions are what was great about the 80's. It not only gave it a chance in the dancefloor with extra beefed up drums but made it more interesting than hearing the regular version because just when you would think a chorus would kick in, you'd get the instrumental instead with effects, drum rolls, etc. It's the difference between remixes nowadays that don't resemble the original song at all. I think that's why remixes from that era are still very sought after.

Martin,
Like I said, that's my opinion regarding the originals. I don't think some DJ enhancing a song, which is their opinion btw, makes it better. I think these extended versions just go on & on too long in many cases. When I want to hear some long songs I'll take Emerson, Lake & Palmer any day of the week over some DJ's version.

I love these songs! I download whatever I can (although I'm usually at work when I read this forum and often forget to return to it when I'm home). As far as concerns renaming the songs, I just rename them when I download them... problem solved.
