Sad News For Long Island Show Goers

The New York Times wrote last Sunday that the Downtown in Farmingdale is slated for closure. Some two dozen shows sheduled for the rest of the year have been cancelled. A rock club where both local talent and bigger name brand acts played (some of us met up there for the English Beat and Berlin shows this year), the news came as a shock to all. At least we still have the Crazy Donkey in Farmingdale, Voltage in Levittown and the Viper Bar in Hauppauge.

P.S. Sorry if this was already posted. Did'nt see anything of the like.

That was a cool little club. I saw Human League and Flock Of Seagulls there in the past couple of years.
