I have been trying to download this mix all day yesterday.
I am having trouble with it. Maybe everyone else is to?
I will try again right now.
I loved the last mix. Who wouldn't like your mixes?? [:)]

Nice work! It was fun to listen to at work -- you did a good job of using more guitar-oriented tracks. I didn't realize what a great song "Someone Like You" is by The Fountainhead. My only comment would be that the transition between 1 & 2 (just past the 5:00 mark) sounds a bit off. The notes clash -- I think you could shorten the crossfade.

Hey mskremember,

I like your megamixes, but when are you getting back to the single tracks?

Thanks!

Mario,

I am finally getting around to listening to the YCLTIN volumes X-XXX -- it's a lot of music! (Work has kept me busy, so I can't listen to music as much as I used to.)

Just getting through the A's:
A drop in the gray, Wide Eyed One: very good song, I like the rhythm
All About Eve, Our Summer (Extended): as with the other AAE songs, I like it a lot
Anne Clark, Our Darkness: Not my type, sorry. I probably will not keep this one. She seems to be a cult favorite, though.
Anything Box, Living in Oblivion (Ext): great synth solo!
Aztec Camera, Somewhere in my Heart (Remix): I like Roddy Frame, and this is a good song, but maybe this mix is a little too dance-y for his style of music. But a good enough song in any version, I guess.

On to the B's...although I see XXXII and XXXIII are now posted...the list keeps going!

OK, just got through the Bs, Cs, and some Ds (excluding YCLTIN XXXII and XXXIII).

Big Country, Look Away (Outlaw Mix): a very good mix of a very good song. I always wondered why they could not become more successful with songs like that and Wonderland. Too much earnestness?

Blue Zoo, Somewhere in the World There's a Cowboy Smiling: I have some Blue Zoo that I like, and this is a welcome addition to the catalog!

Camouflage, Love is a Shield (William Orbit Mix): I tend to not like William Orbit remixes but this one did not grate on me too much. I like Camouflage very much and this reminds me to listen to their songs all over again (like the original mix of this song). Their lead singer has a very distinctive voice that always reminds me of the early 80s.

Carlos Peron, Commando: there are days when I like Yello, and there are days when I don't. I think today is one of the latter days. Thus, this song simply pounded too much on my head (maybe because it is Monday).

Cast of Thousands, September: Tremendous! I wonder what the normal mix sounds like.

Crash Course in Science is a little too techno/casiotone(?) for my tastes. It's interesting but I don't know when I would listen to it other than for the novelty factor. I'm more of a melody person rather than casiotone synth.

Danny Wilson, Mary's Prairie: tremendous artist that never got its due. I like all their albums, which is a rarity. Thanks for introducing me to this version of their signature (overplayed) song. One question: http://www.theacf.com/gclark/, which is a pretty complete discography, shows this as "Mary's Prairie," not "Mary's Prairie (Mary's Prairie Mix)" as you have it. I suspect it's just a naming convention, but I believe the song title is simply Mary's Prairie and there is no "mix" name.

Mario,

More feedback on your prior songs (sorry, not sure which YCLTIN they are from):

I did not like:

Erasure - Supernature (Mutant Remix). I usually like Erasure but somehow this one did not seem as well-written as their other stuff.

Psyche - Insatiable (US Mix). A decent song, but I kept waiting for a hook to grab me. I never felt like I would want to listen to this song again.

Intaferon - Hold the Bunker. I think Intaferon may have tapped themselves out with this one. Get Out of London grabbed me immediately; this one did not.

The good news is I liked most of the rest!

Hohohkam - Harlequin Tears (Extended). I thought this song started slow but ended great! I was humming it later in the day.

Icehouse - No Promises (Extended) and Great Southern Land (Great Southern Land Mix). I own the NP 12" dance mix and like it a lot, so this version is like coming home. And GSL is a great song, especially at 15 minutes!

Killing Joke - Love Like Blood ('86 Remix). Not the best remix of this song but good enough.

Red Box - Chenko. Great song! I had never heard it before. The chanting was in my head for hours!

The The, The Alarm, The Cult, Tears for Fears, Modern English...all great new versions of songs I have always liked (although how many more times can one hear I Melt with You...).
