Eurythmics Box Set at Amazon.com

I went to order the new Eurythmics box set from Amazon.com, and they listed the price as $98.99:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/de ... c&n=507846

However, when I put it in my shopping cart, the price jumps to $148.49. If I do a manual search for the box set on Amazon, I come up with this listing:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000BO ... c&v=glance

They've added a $49.50 "sourcing fee" to the item. Yeah Amazon, I'm going to pay you $50 extra for a box set that's available from a number of places for under $100.

Has anyone else seen this "sourcing fee" on Amazon products?

I have never seen this, but what do I know[:D]
So, as I have asked in another thread, where is the best place to buy this? Does the German Amazon site have this acquisition fee? And why isn't the 1984 album included here (I know, it's a different record company; still)?

I bought mine from The Ideal Copy - I think it was about $94; can't remember offhand.

However, I was going to order the Kraftwerk Minimum-Maximum limited box set from Amazon today. The listing said "Price: $99.99 + $35.00 sourcing fee." I have no idea what the hell that is. I ended up preordering it from Best Buy for $84.99.

I just did the whole checkout process at Amazon.Com and there was no extra fee. Total was $98.xx after the free shipping discount.

I received my box from The Ideal Copy yesterday...and man, is this thing incredible! The packaging on these reissues in the digipacks is very impressive. Great liner notes, lots of photos, cool detail on the graphics. The only thing I would have liked is lyrics, but their stuff is pretty easy to figure out anyway.

This box sure does look impressive sitting on my shelf!

I'm still waiting for it to appear in stores here (Canada) [:(]. It's probably taking longer because there's no Canadian pressing and BMG is importing it from somewhere (hopefully EU).

Did anyone pick up any of the remasters, EU pressings? I'm wondering if they are copy-controlled.

Mine are from the UK and are not copy protected.

Thanks. Think I'll have to order this from Amazon.DE since it's cheaper. Glad it won't be copy controlled. Sony = :vomit:

Yup, that's the cheapest I could find. Threw in "The Scream" and it came to about $108 USD.
