From Hardest Hits Vol. 4 cd
Due to circumstances beyond our control, we were unable to release rare tracks from the likes of: Endgames, The Associates,Simple Minds,National Pastime,Aztec Camera, Red Box,Shriekback,Act,Visage.

Alex, what are some of the tracks/Bands that you would've liked , but have been impossible to get on the Retro:Active series [?]

Hmmmmmmm. Well there are some that have been requested and denied by labels but I can't really say what they are, in case they get approved for upcoming volumes. Some bands/labels have different criteria for their tracks usage which can be a challenge on occasion, but overall I would say we get 95% of what we want.

The only complaint I have is that they follow the trend of bumping the levels so high that you lose the full dynamic range. The levels are okay for 48000Hz audio track (like on DVDs) but not for the 44100Hz on CDs.

Would like to see One2One "There Was a Time" or "Angel in my Pocket" 12''es in the future.

Dear Alex,

I feel so bad about not commenting earlier. The new disc is phenomenal!!!!! So many great mixes that were new to my ears; but this is what I'm looking for. Things that might have fallen through the cracks in my part of the country at the time were finally brought to light!!!! It was excellent to finally have Dead Or Alive's "Lover Come Back To Me" on CD. Zeus B. Held is an amazing producer. Actually, I wish Dead Or Alive stayed with him than move onto S.A.W. There was so much testosterone flowing when he was at the helm.

I pray that this series continues. These compilations are a true audio archive, chronicling the diverse, popular and obscure treasures of the past. Thanks Alex and crew for making these discs a reality.

Hey thanks for the great comments - much appreciated. Hopefully many have received their cds and are enjoying them equally as much.
Yeah, Zeus is a great producer and still as busy as ever!
