I would expect that response from a male who is insecure in his own masculinity. Now, of course I'm not insinuating that >you're< such a male, just that I'd expect it from such a male.

Let's list some examples of rugged he-man pop bands, shall we? You know, stuff that can be listened to without fear of anyone questioning a man's masculinity...

Motley Crue
Jackal
Lynyrd Skynrd
Bruce Springsteen
John Cougar Mellencamp
Whitesnake
AC/DC

:D

You forgot the most masculine band ever - The Wild Swans. LOL.

Let's see, Whitesnake and Jackyl (yes, it's spelled with a "Y") are a joke, Motley Crue has some value, and the others have at the least managed to sustain long, succesful careers. Bruce and Skynyrd are even in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Not a bad list overall and even the most laughable band on it (Jackyl)sold far more records, have a much larger fanbase, and will be remembered long after THE COLOUR FIELD.

Here's my own list:

Halls with considerably more talent than Terry Hall:

Arsenio
DeAngelo
Kids In The
Anthony Michael
Philip Baker
Moby (real name Richard Melville Hall)

Edited to add: Chuck Hall. You don't know him so you'll just have to trust me. He's a local cop and I once saw him eat a doughnut and direct traffic at the same time.

After being a bit depressed due to ............ Jason [:D][:D], the price of the Japanese version shot up to $300 on Amazon, may be because of all the publicity the album is getting from us![:D]

I have been watching ebay to get one for sometime...I stop at $50...they tend to go very high and about 2-3 every month.

At least they're not insecure in their masculinity. They're not afraid of showing their emotions, passions, etc. You know, things that insecure males are afraid to show.

Which doesn't mean squat. There are plenty of artists whose work I can't stand that have had long, successful careers. I'm sure that there are plenty you can't stand as well that have had long successful careers, longer and more successful than some of your favorite bands. So what's your point? Brad Pitt has been hugely successful as an actor for well over a decade, is a household name, and makes millions and millions of dollars per blockbuster film. Does that mean he's a better actor than Philip Baker Hall, who isn't a household name, whose pictures aren't as popular, and who makes considerably less than millions and millions? Popularity, even long-lasting popularity, doesn't necessarily mean anything.

By the way, Mister Spellcheck, you forgot an "s" in the middle of "succesful".

Philip Baker I'll give you, at least in the acting department. Never heard him sing though. Kids In The, sometimes yes, sometimes no. Anthony Michael, he had a few good performances. Arsenio, give me an effin' break. DeAngelo, never heard of him. Moby, well, he just isn't my bag. I won't even comment on the donut-eating traffic cop.

It all comes down to a matter of taste. I just resent the term "wusspop", which is typical of the bullsh*t bandied about by insecure males.

Yeah, I didn't hit the second s in "successful" hard enough the second time. You got me. Congrats. Although I feel I should tell you that I have never used spellcheck and the majority of the time, I don't even proof-read before posting. It doesn't seem worth the time and effort just for the 1/100th of 1 percent of the time that I actually make a mistake. Any misspellings are typos only. So sorry to disappoint you.

DeAngelo Hall is the immensely talented starting cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons. A real man would know that. BTW, The Falcons are a football team.

THE COLOUR FIELD are wusspop, or in the much better description posted by Barmy, "bland nancyboy crap".

One needn't be a wuss or a closet wuss to recognize wusspop, and as much as the thought of a Wild Swans/ THE COLOUR FIELD listener questioning how secure I am in my masculinity amuses me, you're way off the mark. I admit listening to cheesy stuff all the time (even the Shaun Cassidy new wave album ). At least it's entertaining, which is more than can be said for THE COLOUR FIELD. I suggest you find something else to attack me for. Or you could just give up. You bore me almost as much as THE COLOUR FIELD does.

Waverboy:

The man professes to listen to Shaun Cassidy, how can he have ANY problem with his masculinity? You on the other hand...

BTW:

Barmy, once you've put "nancy" in front, following it up with boy or girl makes no difference. Message received.[:D]

I wouldn't be surprised of your comments since you didn't even know that Terry Hall was the vocalist of "The Specials" (a group which you said you like) .. Of course, you also didn't know know about "Fun Boy Three". Now, maybe you'll start bashing both groups too. As usual, go ahead and make lame excuses for your ignorance.

For once in your life, you can drop the superior attitude. You didn't know how to spell "successful"- just admit it. You made THE SAME MISTAKE TWICE- what does that make you? Who will believe that someone who takes pride in cruelly pointing out misspellings and grammatical errors would post anything without proofreading first? Give me a break!

Motors U might be thick-headed but I think it's time for you to understand that you are an object of ridicule here and may be it would be best for everybody if you would avoid comments unbecoming of a gentleman.

Not that I really give a fuck what you think, but it seems that the numbers on each side are fairly equal here (well, as equal as the likes of you will ever be to me at least). Also, I had dropped it and have only been responding. Surely, even someone as dense as yourself is capable of seeing that.
