Only because my turntable was down, I hadn't gotten around to picking up the new Nitzer Ebb mixes they did. (They were only vinyl, right? If not, I never found em on disc.) So THANKS! I'm guessing they'll make it onto the new remix double disc this year.

Yeah, thanks. I don't beleive there was ever an official remix of Violent Playground. Just looked thru the Mute discog and didn't see anything that I missed over the years. Assuming that someone will grab up the track and mix it for the release later this year. FYI, they also remixed Murderous (Phil Kieran mix) and another Control mix (LFO) in 04, in case you weren't aware.

Yeah, thanks. I don't beleive there was ever an official remix of Violent Playground. Just looked thru the Mute discog and didn't see anything that I missed over the years. Assuming that someone will grab up the track and mix it for the release later this year. There were 2 12" releases on Mute - one with the 2 tracks you posted and the other with the other two I mentioned. They were supposed to be the first in a series, but things became sour, apparently, btwn NE and Mute. So now that things have been patched up, they are going to be commissioning more mixes for the project later this year.
If you really care to look for it, there's a tribute album put out by a couple of EBM folks. It's not too terrible, as far as tributes go. They have a page on myspace, but I think the cd is up on Amazon and others.

There were 2 12" releases on Mute - one with the 2 tracks you posted and the other with the other two I mentioned. They were supposed to be the first in a series, but things became sour, apparently, btwn NE and Mute. So now that things have been patched up, they are going to be commissioning more mixes for the project later this year.
