how to download a rar file & extract it: Do not click on the link itself but Instead, drag the full link directly to your download manager or to your desktop. The file will begin to download. The files will take a couple of hours to finish downloading so be patient. Once they are downloaded, you will need winrar to extract & open them. You will need unrarx if you use a mac.
I hope this helps! [8D]
Thanks Mario. you have been missed. There was a compilation that you called best of synthpop 1980-1989 that had a close up picture of the moon on it. You posted a picture but never posted that compilation. I was wondering if you can still post it here...pretty please?

Right click and Save As on a Windows machine. Next time you need help, post what you are using (eg. OS + browser).
PS to everyone ... better to use .ZIP over .RAR for compatibility. There's no compression advantage using RAR for compressed MP3 files.
PPS Almost forgot to say "thanks!" [:)]

Mario,
A hearty welcome back from me as well! Your song choices are once again without peer.
I have a file that compiles many of your comps (You Can Listen to It Now, POP vols 1&2, etc.) that I can post if people wonder what was in prior posts by you. Let me know if you would have a problem with me posting that.
Is the artwork supposed to signify something? Maybe these songs are "cold" synth music?

Assuming you have WinRAR installed correctly, then you can simply open WinRAR, click File --> Open Archive, and choose the archive you want.
Or, you can open WinRAR, click on Settings, and then Integration, and check the box for RAR in the "Associate" section. Then you can simply double-click on a RAR file.
However, I had a corrupted download, so WinRAR barfed on the first RAR file I got. I knew something was wrong b/c the file was only 18MB in size. If you have file sizes smaller than the ones below, download again.
CD1: 184,320KB in Windows Explorer*
CD2: 188,244KB in Windows Explorer*
* Your file sizes might be slightly different depending on how you view them. If you are within a MB, it's probably OK. WinRAR will tell you if an archive is corrupted (or partial).
Otherwise, I'd reinstall WinRAR and try again. If your download is OK then reinstalling can't hurt.
Let us know how it works out!
