Ripping Vinyl - Artwork?

Postby owenstrawn » Wed Jul 07, 2004 10:48 am

How is everybody scanning the album covers & sleeves? Am I the only one who can't find an affordable oversize scanner? Or are you using photos?

Are you putting the scans on the same CD-R with the audio, on a separate CD-R, or just printing them out?

Anybody know how to make a multi-format CD-R using a Mac? I can't find anything helpful searching for "enhanced CD" in the help system.

Thanks!

Roxio Toast allows you to create Enhanced CDs. Quick and easy (and expensive) solution. I don't believe that OS X's built-in disc burning allows for the creation of enhanced CDs.

I scan mine in two halves and allow for clipping 1/4" off the bottom and top (or left and right depending on the layout of the cover art), to save myself the hassle of scanning 4 times, but yeah it's always a bit of an undertaking scanning album covers.

Both of my ripping software. Music Match jukebox and Nero, automaticaly searches and retrieves the covers and tags it to my files, but on the outside chance it can't be found on it's data base, I just do an image search on google and I've found everything

I know it is not via the computer, but I've actually taken some LP covers to Kinkos and run the front and back, even the gatefold inner sleeves, on their copiers. They have them that fit the LP jackets in one copy, and the color looks almost perfect to th
