SONGS ON VINYL, YOU"D DIE TO HEAR DIGITIZED...

Postby dropdeadgothic » Tue Jun 27, 2006 9:27 am

We all have have our 20+ year old records, some in better shape than others. What bands and songs on vinyl, would you die to hear in cd quality? Maybe we can all help each other fill in those bits and pieces? I'm willing.

Gleaming Spires' Songs of the Spires album. It's sitting right here next to my computer. I'm gonna tackle it next when this new turntable comes and I pitch the old Techniques. Will also fire up Lou Miami's Rituals and Kozmetics EPs, and maybe get a better rip of The Bangles EP. These four have been bugging me the most. It'll remain to be seen how "CD quality" these will be.

Mainframe - talk To me. I only have a horribly-done vinyl rip of it. It came as a flexi-disc with the computer game "Lode Runner" and doesn't seem to be available on "tenants of the latticework"

B-side of Spandau Ballet's "Paint Me Down", which was called "Man With Guitar" (essentially a dub mix of the a -side, but done without the bass and chorus parts...

I've ripped some vinyl that belongs to Schwenko with pretty good results. If anyone wants some vinyl burned off to disc and you don't have the capability to do it yourself let me know. I don't charge anything, you just have to pay for the return postage.

[/quote]2 different bands put out an LP called Shor Patrol?
I'm guessing the Lover Boy that you mention is not the one that sings about "Hot Girls in Love" and "Working for the weekend" [:D][;)]

Are you serious?! Wow, Coop, thanks. They were a couple of nice new wave songs for the summer of '83. I have it on vinyl myself but have never converted anything to digital before. They were a Baltimore, MD band. How in the world did you end up with a copy in AZ?
