I don't know. Does the 7" song begin with a long stretch of organ music? I say organ but it sounds like a church organ. Thats how mine starts. I guess It's just longer because I never heard of a different version.

Yes it does have the organ music. I love that song. I would love to know if there is an extended version of it! I have their album and 7 inch.
Thanks

Not sure if it's that in demand anymore since the songs were put on a CD at some time recently, but:

I don't know which of these are rare but here are my (more or less) New Wave 12" singles:

Do They Know it’s Christmas? - Band Aid
The Bell of St. Mark - Sheila E. (I know it's not new wave, but, hey, St. Mark's Square- the center of all New Wave in NYC - how could I not mention it?)
The War Song - Culture Club
Easy Lover - Phillip Bailey with Phil Collins
Obsession/I Engineer - Animotion
Venus - Bananarama
Right on Track - Breakfast Club
You Keep Me Hangin’ on - Kim Wilde
Heaven is a Place on Earth - Belinda Carlisle
Rush Hour - Jane Wiedlin
Buffalo Stance -Neneh Cherry
Kisses on the Wind - Neneh Cherry
Gimme Hope Jo'anna - Eddy Grant
Let’s go all the way - Sly Fox

None of these are especially rare but they probably aren't easy to find now:

Visage - "Love Glove (dance mix)," "The Damned Don't Cry (dance mix)", and "Fade to Grey" EP-dance mixes.

OMD - "We Love You (extended)."

Gary Numan - "We Take Mystery to Bed (Extended dance)."

Chaz Jankel - "Glad to Know You (Extended)"

David Bowie - "John I'm Only Dancing (Disco Mix)"

I think I have maybe 25 or so 12-inch singles.

I, somehow, came into possession of an Oingo Boingo 10" with Wild Sex, Little Girls, and a couple of other songs (sorry about the unimplied coupling of the first two songs--those are the only recognizable songs I remember from the record). I have not a clue about how rare this is, but it's fun to see a 10" in the collection.

Edit: What a dope I am! It doesn't even have those songs on there! It has Only A Lad and Violent Love. Sorry about talking out my ass, folks.

I sold off most of my vinyl long ago. (*sniff*)

I believe the only 12"s I have left are Men W/O Hats "Safety Dance" 12" (came in a lot of NW albums I bought off eBay)

and Cabaret Voltaire's "Dream Ticket"/"Safety Zone" 12" (debatable if this is new wave I guess...)

Used to have tons of them...Tones on Tail, Shriekback, New Order, etc.

The one I'm looking for now is a Jesus and Mary Chain one from the Darklands album that was released as both a 10" and a 12".
