Yes, but it costs so much money, especially when a week later, you walk into another record store and get this:

12" EP
Design for Living - Slowly Shouting
Spit Like Paint - Spit Like Paint

LP
Europeans - Live
Modern Eon - Fiction Tales
The Quick - Fascinating Rhythm (Picture disc)

As the originator of this thread I have to tell you things have been kinda tight in the bpdp household the last couple years, and I've been jealously watching what you lucky bastards have been getting. But anyway, I got a fairly decent haul yesterday (all original,no lousy reissues):

Orange Juice - you can't hide your love forever (nice cover w/ dolphins)

The Resuce ep (which I looked for for 7 years before finding it for $3)

The Passions - Michael and Miranda

The Units - Digital Stimulation (sadly w/ lots of college radio station logo marking on it)

The Passage - pindrop

Idle Eyes- Idle Eyes (interesting this one, never had seen it before but grabbed it based on cursory listens to first few tracks)

Department S - Going Left Right (12")

Au-Pairs - Inconvenience (12")

keep sharing your finds, even if they're cheezy dollar-bin fodder!!!

I have picked up loads of things this year, without having the time to listen to them -
First Legg-Same(as i read at a sticker on the cover, is known as the first new wave band of Canada.Great stuff, somewhere between Lou Reed solo lps and late 70s power pop)

The Pop-Same

Great Buildings-Apart from the Crowd(Post L.A Quick outfit of Danny Wilde with some great songs but not as good as his first band)

Leyden Zar(Canadian early 80's techno/rock band with some new wavish moments similar to Cars and Gary Numan)

Dead Milkmen-Punk Rock girl-12'' ep

Nervous Eaters-Same(a great lp of this terrific Boston power pop combo, playing here a more nostalgic 60s influenced pop rock.Their second lp in New Rose is rawer and punkish having a street feel)

Jayne County-Betty Gramble's Leggs(very nice twisted punky rock n' roll from this legendary figure. This 12''ep is from 1989).

Don't worry brambo, other freaks like myself are buying vinyl. I saw you got the Leisure Process 'Cashflow' 7". I got the "Love Cascade" 7" way back in the day (and loved it) but have never seen anything else by them. I know it's one of those things I'll find in dollar-bin someday.

Some finds last week:

Act - Laughter Tears and Rage lp. Claudia Brucken and Thomas Leer; this is on ZTT, 1988 - I'd never heard of it or seen it before.

Bone Symphony ep - w/ Scott Wilk from Scott Wilk and the Walls

Propoganda Machinery 12" (I think I have a different version of this somewhere)

Cocteau Twins - Peppermint Pig 12"; I'm a sucker for the 4AD aesthetic

Big Youth - Dread Locks Dread - nice reggae lp

Sad Lovers and Giants - the Mirror Test (heard about this band somewhere on this board over the years)

Xmal Deutschland - Tocsin lp. One of those bands I've seen in the bins for years but had never picked up before.
