I was just sitting down to rip a bunch of 7" for borneojimmy when my trusty Technics SL-BD1 gave up the ghost. 25+ years of dependable service but the old girl gave out and won't spin at 45rpm. She still does the 33 OK, so I'm wondering what the problem is. I cleaned and oiled the drive motor, cleaned the belt...
There's a guy on ebay selling a new motor $20. Any ideas if that would bring the beast back up to speed?
