Sex Pistols 'Satellite' question....Ollie maybe?

Postby bpdp3 » Fri Feb 18, 2005 1:32 pm

I'm thinking someone like Ollie might know this...

I've got a copy of the lp "We have cum for your children Wanted: the Goodman tapes" which has a song called 'Suburban Kid'

It's the only place I've heard this song mentioned, and I think it's just a mistake, that the song is actually 'Satellite'.

I DON'T have a copy of 'Satellite' to verify, tho' a local shop has the "Holidays in the Sun/Satellite" 45 for $8 (not a pic sleeve) but alas no turntable to play it on.

The question is - - is 'Suburban Kid' ACTUALLY 'Satellite'? If not, I may like to grab this 45. 'Satellite' is the only studio recording by these guys I don't have in one form or another (I never bothered with Pistols live recordings...)

Help!!

Same song. "We've Come For Your Children" was not a 100% legit release although Dave Goodman was behind it. Also, "Suburban Kid" was the title given to the song when it was in the demo stages, and not retitled to "Satellite" until it was ready to be rel

Thanks Ollie for the feedback, somehow I knew you'd know exactly what I was talking about. I agree the price of the 45 seems high. I believe the one on my comp IS a demo.
