Do you buy new releases on vinyl?

Postby bpdp3 » Sun Apr 10, 2005 8:21 am

I admit if it's priced decently, I generally still grab the vinyl version of a relase vs. the CD.

Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, British Sea Power, Arcade Fire, etc etc I've all grabbed on vinyl. Usually it's priced about the same as the CD, sometimes a little more, sometimes a little less. I WON'T pay $25 for a vinyl version of something I can buy the CD of for under $10!

Anyone else?

Most people don't realize this but you can STILL get brand new vinyl for most bands still. You just won't be doing it at your local record store anymore.
But, if you do not mind spending a little more, you can get everything out that is pretty much consi

I still buy vinyl when available. Admittedly most of the new releases I buy are punk and hardcore with a bit of electroclash thrown in, so most everything is pressed up on vinyl.

Actually vinyl is starting to make a very slow comeback. Both Best Buy

If it's something I'll really cherish, yes. The last new album I got on vinyl was Duran Duran's Astronaut.

I have only paid more than $25 for a record 1 time. It was one of the Davis Allen Coe porno country records. I paid $75 for it, but I had been looking for it for 20 years.

I'd only buy it if it were cheap.

If youre and artist and you are going to release it on vinyl...make it cost less than the CD.

And if its a new hip hop release, kill yourself, for you are defeacting in the gene pool and using up my oxygen.
