I love Midnight Oil ! You guys should check out this cool ass radio station I listen to online. www.1053thespy.com. It's in Oklahoma City of all places. They play tons of stuff from Midnight Oil not just one song over and over again. Plus I called the DJ and they played my request within 15 minutes. They play REAL alternative music, like The Flaming Lips, bjork, Siouxie and The Banshees, The Smiths, Pixies, and not that Creed crap. Check'em out and tell them to play more Midnight Oil.

If you haven't got it yet, I'd like to recommend their DVD "20,000 Watts RSL" (same title as their "greatest hits" CD, but this is a video compilation on DVD.) This was released in the U.S. within the last couple of years, with remastered sound and video

I saw a video from 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 on VH-1 classic a while back, and it was 100 times better than "beds are burning"

What is it with Aussie bands where we don't get 'em until they mellowed out in the late 80s?(divinyls, midnight oil, etc)

I got hooked on Midnight Oil back when "Diesel and Dust" was released. Since then I've bought about 10 of their CDs, the earliest going back to 1978.

I recently heard that Peter Garrett has officially left the band.

The problem with that compilation DVD "20,000 Watts RSL" is that it doesn't feature the 1980 video clip 'Back On The Border Line' which is almost as rare as 'Used And Abused'. What is even rarer, is the fact that the 'Back On The Border Line' clip featur

10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1 ROCKS !! that was my explosive introduction to this band. very angry, very punk, but still quirky enough to fit into "new wave". and very political, too. you saw/heard plenty of Peter Garrett's angry political views on that one.
