Who else have listened to these two overlooked New Wavers?
Martini Ranch
The core of Los Angeles-based new wave comedians Martini Ranch consists of musician Andrew Todd and actor/filmmaker Bill Paxton, the latter of whom directed Barnes & Barnes' "Fish Heads" video and Starred in many movies such as "Twister" "Aliens".... Their 1988 LP Holy Cow features guest appearances by members of the B-52's and Devo, as well as actors Judge Reinhold and Bud Cort.

Robert Williams
Since drummer Robert Williams has played with a wildly diverse range of acts -- Captain Beefheart, Bo Donaldson and the Heywoods, and the Stranglers' Hugh Cornwell -- it only makes sense that his small solo output reflects those eclectic tendencies. Williams covers a wide range of music on his two solo recordings -- the 1981 EP Buy My Record and 1982's full-length Late One Night -- with the help of such guests as Hugh Cornwell, Danny Elfman, the Doors' Robby Krieger, Wings' Laurence Juber, and members of Devo, the Go-Go's, and Captain Beefheart's and Frank Zappa's bands
I'm struck by the insidious, computer-driven tendency to take things out of the domain of muscular activity and put them into the domain of mental activity.
