Ian "Icicle Works" McNabb

Postby Spaz » Sun Jun 29, 2003 3:36 am

Although I've been an avid ICICLE WORKS fan since the debut album 20 years ago and I followed Ian McNabb's solo career for an album or two, I became uninterested for some reason and moved on.
Bad move.
I've been catching up on Ian's solo career and I have to tell you all to start paying attention to this man again because he is still as vital as he always was!
Just listen to the self-titled album from a few years ago (also known as the "Batman" album). It makes my jaw drop in awe. Beatiful songs, beautiful arrangements, etc.
His most recent, "Gentleman Adventurer" has some truly amazing songs, although is a bit more low key than the "Ian McNabb" album.
Man, this guy has passion and soul.
Go back and start listening. You can find some great deals on GEMM on his "Truth And Beauty" CD, "Merseybeast" CD, "Head Like A Rock", etc. It may not be the ICICLE WORKS, but is just as passionate and wonderful.
