I remember back in the early '80s at clubs I'd hear the song "Love Spy" and I could have sworn it was another song from Trans-X (turns out it was someone named Mike Mareen).

i, too, think camouflage's "the great commandment" sounds like dmode...and for some reason, i always mistake crowded house's "don't dream it's over" for a tears for fears song...

and any rancid song sounds like social distortion...

Wow, you're right! Especially the wails after the laters chorus' of "what' so funny about peace, love and understanding, Whooooaaaaa,..." It's very reminiscent of part of Born to Run, LOL!

I always think Elektric Music's "Kissing The Machine" is an OMD song, but it is not. Great song though -- it's on my mp3 player that I run to.

speaking of David Bowie, i always thought that the Boomtown Rats' "Up All Night" sounded like David Bowie.

also, i always thought that China Crisis' "Arizona Sky" sounded like Icehouse.
